Udacity Joins Woolf to Launch a Fully Accredited Master’s in Artificial Intelligence

This marks a new global pathway to graduate-level AI education that’s affordable, flexible, and formally recognized across 60+ countries.

In partnership with Woolf, Udacity has launched a fully accredited Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence, a milestone that redefines what it means to earn an advanced degree in tech. The program brings together Udacity’s industry-leading, project-based curriculum and Woolf’s global accreditation framework to make graduate education in AI radically more accessible.

A Shared Mission: Expanding Access to World-Class Education

At Woolf, our mission is to increase access to world-class higher education that is accredited and transferable. Partnering with Udacity — a pioneer in online technology education and now part of Accenture — advances that mission on a global scale.

“This partnership represents a milestone in making formal academic recognition accessible to a global learner base,” said Dr. Joshua Broggi, Rector and President of Woolf. “Udacity’s expertise in high-impact, project-based learning pairs naturally with Woolf’s accredited degree infrastructure. The result is a world-class master’s program that meets students where they are, wherever they are.”

The First Accredited Degree of Its Kind

Through Woolf’s collegiate university model, Udacity’s new master’s program offers a formally accredited, globally portable degree that combines accessibility with academic rigor. The program can be completed for as little as $3,500 USD, making it radically more affordable than traditional master’s programs that often exceed $60,000 per year. Degrees awarded by Woolf meet the standards of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), ensuring recognition across more than 60 countries—including the United States, Canada, Australia, and 43 European nations. Built around Udacity’s project-based Nanodegree curriculum, co-developed with leading technology companies, the program delivers industry-relevant skills alongside formal academic recognition. Learners advance through twelve Nanodegree programs and a capstone project—approximately 2,250 hours of study, equivalent to the standard workload for a European master’s degree.

Addressing the Global AI Skills Gap

Across industries, AI adoption is accelerating, but skill development has not kept pace. While 90% of workers use AI tools, only a fraction feel confident applying them effectively, and just 5% of GenAI initiatives show measurable business impact. Organizations now pay a 25% premium for professionals who can deploy AI effectively.

Together, Udacity and Woolf are closing that gap. This partnership offers a pathway from workforce upskilling to fully accredited graduate education, ensuring that learners gain both the skills and credentials needed to lead the AI economy.

Why Accreditation Matters

Woolf is the world’s first global higher education institution, built to connect innovative education providers like Udacity to the same level of academic legitimacy enjoyed by traditional institutions. Through Woolf’s software-enabled quality assurance and regulatory compliance system, every course, credit, and credential meets the highest international academic standards.

Accreditation through Woolf ensures:

  • Recognition for immigration and visa applications
  • Eligibility for progression into doctoral programs
  • Credits that travel with you anywhere in the world

By integrating with Woolf, Udacity joins a network of pioneering institutions delivering fully accredited, globally respected degrees that empower learners and educators alike.

A Model for the Future of Higher Education

This collaboration reflects the shift Woolf has championed since its founding: from centralized, exclusive universities to a global, networked model that empowers institutions to teach while Woolf ensures compliance, legitimacy, and recognition.

For learners, it means opportunity without barriers. For educators, it means freedom backed by global credibility. For higher education as a whole, it means a future that is more accessible and adaptable, yet firmly rooted in the rigor and standards that define academic excellence.
