Apolola Daniel

“Through Woolf and Kibo, I gained a globally recognized Computer Science degree with a focus on Full Stack Development. The flexible, supportive program helped me grow, overcome challenges, and build the confidence to pursue ambitious projects in tech.”

How I learned to succeed through the challenges

My name is Daniel Apolola, and I’m from Lagos, Nigeria. I recently completed a degree in Computer Science through the Kibo School of Technology, which is accredited by Woolf. My focus was Full Stack Development and while I haven’t begun working formally right now, I’m applying the skills I’ve gained during my program for personal projects that I care deeply about.

One of the things that drew me to Kibo and Woolf was the way they approached education. It was flexible, international, and structured in a way that respected both independence and mentorship. I could learn at my own pace, from wherever I was, while working toward a globally recognized degree.

The program gave me space to grow and the guidance to keep going. I especially appreciated the support from instructors and mentors who were always ready to help. The coursework was practical and relevant, and I loved being able to take what I was learning in class and use it right away in my own projects.

There was one project in particular that pushed me. I had to dive into a topic that I initially found pretty challenging, and for a while, I wasn’t sure I could do it. But with persistence and the support system around me, I not only completed the project, I received top feedback. That experience changed the way I see challenges. It showed me that I could struggle and still succeed.

Since finishing the program, I’ve noticed a big shift in how I approach problems. I think more critically, build more confidently, and take on more ambitious work than I would have before. The degree gave me not just knowledge, but also credibility that matters when you’re trying to carve out your own path in tech.

To anyone considering a program with Woolf, I’d say: be consistent, ask questions, and don’t underestimate the value of the community. The flexibility is a huge advantage, but the more you engage, the more you’ll get back.

As for what’s next, I’m aiming to become a Game Developer. It’s a direction that excites me, and I feel more prepared and motivated than ever to take that step. Woolf and Kibo gave me the foundation. Now it’s time to build on it.
